Friendship

Oil on Canvas   30x40x2      I felt inspired and motivated to do this piece because I overheard
someone say that "Photos that stop you in you tracks also make excellent paintings". Its says, to
me,that no matter how bad things are, there is still room friendship. That our most valuable
possession is our choice of who we call friends.
I also love the lighting coming from between the shacks. The depth in the painting is
also a major contributor to its beauty.
As an African American, I find it so easy to find beauty in Africa. The richness in the culture
and the beauty in the land and animals make it so attractive as subject matter.
